We have a new Roc release for you: 0.0.0-alpha2-*

Most of the changes can be applied automatically with roc format --migrate. Also check out the migration guide.
We are available on zulip if you run into any problems with upgrading.

There are also new releases of the most popular platforms and packages, here is a list. Note that some may still be marked as pre-release.

This was a massive team effort, thanks to everyone involved! :roc:

So what's the plan for frequency of updates of alpha2 vs. the nightly? As a language dev, I prefer the most up-to-date option, which I presume is the nightly

view this post on Zulip Anton (Jan 31 2025 at 15:36):

Yes nightly will be most up to date, alpha will be a former nightly that is verified to work with basic-cli, basic-ws, examples repo, all exercism solutions etc.

But if no breaking changes happened, alpha will trail nightly by mere hours once I set up the necessary automation for that.
