Hey! I’m looking to start contributing to the project, but I’m a little lost.
I read the CONTRIBUTING.md and was looking for "good first issues". The "Add # links for headings in generated Roc documentation" task caught my eye.
I dived into the codebase and found that these docs are generated by a Rust crate docs_cli that is currently being rewritten in Zig, so I’m not sure if this issue is worth doing right now. Could someone suggest a good first issue that makes sense to work on in the middle of this rewrite?
Thanks in advance!
Welcome @guissalustiano :)
Thanks for helping out!
I know a good issue that may interest you:
Currently we just print "Build succeeded" here but I would like to change this to:
Successfully produced:
- ./zig-out/builtins/Builtin.bin
- ./zig-out/bin/roc
This list of files can be different based on the preceding steps. It would be great if you can attempt this with Claude and test it for a variety of zig build something commands.
I'm working on this! Thanks!
