Topic: Website Back to Top

I created Issue #6073 to request a feature for the website, and want to get people's thoughts here before I start on a PR.

Basically, when scrolling through the website sometimes I want to jump to the top of the page. I would like a button to appear after scrolling that returns my window to the top of the page when I click it.

Any objections or issues I should be aware of?

My thoughts were just a sticky button "Back to Top ↑" in the bottom RH corner of the page.

interesting - personally I always just press the Home key (or cmd+up on Mac) to get back to the top, and I'm actually slightly (but only slightly) annoyed when sites have things like that, because it feels to me like clutter because it's redundant

TIL you can use cmd+up :open_mouth:

What about for mobiles?

When I've been going through the website tutorial/std lib docs most of the time I want to jump back to the top is to get the table of contents to jump to another section/function. It might be useful to make the table of contents always visible as you scroll (or tucked in a menu that is always visible as you scroll) to make this easier.
