It would be helpful if there was an announcement for every breaking change. I realize that the language is evolving quickly these days, and it's time-consuming to write an announcement, but it doesn't have to be more than a few lines, or even just the title, I think everyone would gain time overall.
Ideally start the topic name with "Breaking change:"
can do! :+1:
I'm not sure how others feel, but I also can't really keep up with the non-breaking features and optimisations either, especially since the Worklog thread has died down. PRs often seem to be inside baseball, with implications that aren't clear to me, a casual but curious bystander  As such I'm kind of just riding it out until the dust settles and hopefully the langref explains all. This is understandable especially while pre-alpha, but I mean to signal an appetite for a similar thread where shipped features or optimisations that might be interesting could be noted, even if it's just a single line.
yeah I totally get that! :hearts:
I can do more of that. For context, most of the past 12 months has been "nobody can use the new compiler because it's not working yet, and nobody wants to use the old compiler because it's on the way out, so nobody is really paying attention to changes anyway" and I'm now in the habit of operating in a mode where announcing things was just shouting into the void
so it's really good to know explicitly that there's demand from a bunch of people for this, because it reminds me that it's a good use of time now!
so I'll try to post more of that info from now on
I’ve found myself feeling frustrated at new bugs or breaking changes, but then I remind myself that I am using a product that doesn’t have a numbered release, and the authors have made no warranties of fitness for use (yet).
So from my perspective updates would be welcome and helpful, but I don’t think you owe them to us since you have clearly communicated the unstable nature of the project by holding off on a numbered release
