I feel there is a need for some kind of medium to alert the community when there is a new feature or some drastic/disruptive change in Roc or basic-cli. This does not need to be a detailed changelog of everything, but should only mention important changes in the language or basic platforms. For example: the recent change to basic-cli 0.4.0 was only mentioned in the releases of basic-cli as far as I know, but someone building a new Roc version more recent than Jul 12 got a compile error because of this, easily solved, but disruptive.
This could be simply a Changelog.md or .txt document in the Roc repo, or a separate channel here to post important/breaking changes. I don't know how others thinks about this, but my idea is that it would give a more professional look as Roc is evolving towards that goal.
Good idea, I propose we make an announcement stream here on zulip where we can use the @ everyone tag for important stuff.
