I gotta say. That top commenter sounds like someone who also is gonna argue that you need oop for large systems coz that’s what enterprise is mostly using.

I think people don't realize that functional languages are actually decently popular and are affecting mainstream languages more and more.

Sure complete purity isn't as popular, but trying to make purity the default is growing hugely
