Topic: Path type in different platforms

I was quite surprised when I discovered that both basic-cli and basic-webserver platforms each have their own Path type. There is also a standalone path package, though it has only pure methods.

Is that intentional or should both platforms depend on path package? If so, would effectful methods become free functions?

I want to move Path into builtins at some point, but it's out of scope for 0.1.0 :smile:

for Path specifically, the plan is that there will be a Path in the stdlib with only pure functions, which the platforms can all use
